Celebrating our Cultural Heritage

IRI kicked off the Direct Support Professional Appreciation Week with its Annual Summer Bash.

The well-attended event was held at Vivo and featured a steel band player, lots of dance competitions, beautiful flowers, a flag arrangement, and a number of wonderful prizes. The best cultural garbs were in full display and judged by the audience. We had two winners; one representing Haiti and the other Ghana. In attendance were members of the IRI Board, the Executive Staff, and a large number of our 550 staff members.

The theme of the event was “Sharing Our Cultural Heritage” and it is clear that we have a diverse group of staff from many countries and ethnic origins who are proud of their heritage and enjoy sharing their culture. Accordingly, the music and dance reflected that diversity and passion.

We want to thank the Administrative Services and Human Resources Teams, led by Sophia Lulgjuray, Ana Koessler, and Lina Saray for planning this wonderful event.
